This lovely ring is a classic design as an engagement ring and an everyday single stone ring, style # 25 of my online selection catalog. This solitaire focuses on simplicity, durability and light entrance. The gem is mounted in an exposed position within a six sawed, pillar-style prong basket, mounted on the round band with a closed back, that allows a lot of light entrance into the stone. The prongs are squared and are flanked by two rising plates extending from the band serving as reinforcement for the prong basket and simplifying the view from the face to show only the gem and the sleek yet sturdy band. The feature gem is an untreated colorless White Zircon from Cambodia. This round cut is precision faceted and sparkles very nicely. It is a VVS eye clean gemstone that measures 6.8 x 6.8 x 4.3 mm weighing 1.57 carat. Zircon is not a common birthstone, however, is associated with April, September and December births. The weight of this well built, handcrafted ring is about 4.2 grams. This hand crafted ring is a size 7 in the USA, inside diameter of 0.682 inches or 17.32mm, the inside circumference is 2.14 inches or 54.4mm, in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand it is a size N½, in India, China and Japan it is a size 14, and in Switzerland it is a size 15.25.
