This is a truly handmade Celtic knot Sterling silver ladies dangle style earrings in design # 79 of our online design selection catalog. The Celtic knot is an ancient design symbolizing eternity. This sturdy pair of earrings has been created using ajoure, the art of sawing away material to create a design. The French style wire hooks allow them to dangle and the Marquise shape fits nicely into the knot.
Gemstones
The gems are natural blue green Sapphires from Burma with no heat or treatment. These gems are hand faceted 7.2 x 3.7 mm Marquise weighing .0.78 carats total. The clarity is SI1, slightly included clarity. Sapphire is the birthstone of September and is a 9 on Moh’s scale plus is very tough, highly suitable for wear in most any jewelry item.

When we use stones from our store for your custom order we back them for the purchase price. We do not guarantee or insure a stone that we did not sell. That said, it is not common that one breaks or is damaged in setting.
Metal choices
We are happy to make you a custom piece of jewelry with Sterling 925 silver or 18K yellow gold. You may also request that we use 999 silver or 965 yellow gold. Furthermore, you may decide on a combination of our metals such as a gold bezel in a silver ring.
