Here is a cascading sweeping curve solitaire design in a unisex gemstone pendant crafted in style # 276 of our online design selection catalog. The feature gem is set onto an open-backed basket in the main frame with a combination channel and prong set to allow additional light entrance, a secure mount. The bail is hidden as a rigid continuation of the sweeping curve of the design.
Specifics:
This is a Burmese Peridot pear that has not been treated in any way, it was faceted from natural rough weighing 1.22 carats. It has SI1 slightly included clarity. Peridot is the birthstone of August.
The entire piece measures 34mm in length and will accommodate up to 3 mm diameter size chains. This piece weighs about 6.2 grams.
We started this project by melting down fine silver and pure copper to create an ingot of 93% silver alloy. Consequently our alloys are a little on the rich side of .925 Sterling. Copper alone is the remaining 7%. We do not add base metal in our alloy so there is less chance for any allergic reaction.
