Design:
This is a solitaire gem, non-dangle, curvy pendant, # 74 of our online style selection catalog. The gemstone is secured with a full bezel into an open backed basket for better light entrance into the stone. This simplistic pendant has a rigid bail at the top of the wavy drop. This is a clean look that is suitable for either sex.
Specifics:
This is an Oregon Sunstone measuring 7.7 x 7.7 x 5.3 mm and weighing 1.72 carat from the USA. This precision faceted gem had no heat treatment and was cut from our own rough stone. The colors shown in the photos are very accurate. The clarity is eye clean with the exception of a nice array of copper shiller being visible.
This fine pendant measures about 46 mm from top to bottom. The bail/ slot will accommodate your chain fastener or cord up to approximately 3.5 mm. It weighs about 5.8 grams.
Metal Content
We started this project by melting down fine silver and pure copper to create an ingot of 93% silver alloy. Consequentially our alloys are a little on the rich side of .925 Sterling. Copper alone is the remaining 7%. We do not add base metal in our alloy so there is less chance for any allergic reaction.
