This is rectangular cushion shaped cabochon of Larimar, a silicate mineral found only in the Dominican Republic. This gem is an untreated Caribbean gemstone that is a combination of sky blue and ocean blue color. It measures 18.1 x 13.1 x 6.8 mm and weighs 16.27 carat.

Due to the softness and perfect cleavage of Larimar it is most advisable to be used in low wear pieces such as pendants, lockets, brooches, book markers or a ‘special occasion only’ ring.

We are happy to make you a custom piece of jewelry with Sterling 925 silver or 18K yellow gold. You may also request that we use 999 silver or 965 yellow gold. Furthermore, you may decide on a combination of our metals such as a gold bezel in a silver ring.

Please note that we are happy to work with your personal stones but do not have any insurance to protect them. Consequently, the stones will be at your risk only. That said, it is not common that one breaks or is damaged in setting. I will provide the address along with special instructions on shipping your stones to us.
