Design:
This is an ankh cross pendant with a pear shaped gem plus a vertical and a horizontal line of gems that together form a cross within an ankh cross in design # 142 of our online style selection catalog. The main gem is bezel set and the accent gems are bead set. Each arm of the ankh has a raised center plus tapers towards the heart of the design for added durability and authenticity. It has a dangle bail ornate with a raised center and classic ribbing lines. The ankh is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic character and is also called the key of life.
Specifics:
This pear shape is a Burmese Maw Sit Sit cabochon measuring 14.8 x 8.3 X 3.9mm and weighing 3.54 carat. This opaque gem had no treatment. The colors shown in the photos are very accurate. The Topaz 3.1mm rounds are eye clean gems.
This fine pendant measures about 77 mm from top to bottom and is 46mm wide. The bail/ slot will accommodate your chain fastener or cord up to approximately 5 mm. It weighs about 22.3 grams.
Metal Content
We started this project by melting down fine silver and pure copper to create an ingot of 93% silver alloy. Consequently our alloys are a little on the rich side of .925 Sterling. Copper alone is the remaining 7%. We do not add base metal in our alloy so there is less chance for any allergic reaction.
